Louise Ernandez, the photographer, was born in Toulouse in 1988 and is currently studying photography and film in L’école Natrionale Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. We met up with her on our most recent visit to the city of love, we took a few photos and asked her a few questions.
1. When it comes taking a photograph, what inspires you?
The light, catching life in it’s unique moment, capturing objects or places that take me back to a certain memory or dream.
2. What or who are the references you draw upon?
Andrei Tarkovski, Terrence Malick, Wim Wenders, Fellini, Godard….
3. Why did you choose these items? Where would you wear them to?
I love the colours on the trousers and the simple, romantic style of the top.
For Paris, which is a grey city, I found these items bright and beautiful.
4. Recommend a book for us.
Steppenwolf- Herman Hesse
5. How about a restaurant?
Le Bistrot Des Dames in the batignolles district.
6. A movie?
Stalker by Andrei Tarkovski.
7. A place.
Cadaqués, or the St Martin canal in Paris on a summer’s night…
